Kampong Jaya Setia, Jaya Bakti and Burong Pingai Berakas Village Consultative Council organised a flag hoisting ceremony in conjunction with the upcoming 77th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday at Lambak Kanan Community Hall.
Legislative Council (LegCo) member and Village Head of Kampong Belimbing Yang Berhormat Haji Daud bin Jihan attended the event as the guest of honour at the event.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by RPN Lambak Kanan Area 5 Village Head Haji Hamidi bin Haji Abdul Wahid, followed by a speech from Kampong Jaya Setia, Jaya Bakti and Burong Pingai Berakas Village Head Abdul Hafiz bin Haji Abdul Manan, before the guest of honour handed over the national flag to be hoisted at the premises. – Izah Azahari
