Pilgrims urged to stay pious

Haj pilgrims are urged to continue being pious and stay away from sinful activities when they return from their pilgrimage to the holy land.

Senior Religious Officer at Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) urged this during a talk on ‘What’s Next After Haj’ during the weekly Munajat night on Saturday.

The Munajat, in its 92nd edition, saw participation from female haj pilgrims from Makkah with Haj Management Department officers and guides from Darussalam Services Sdn Bhd.

Permanent Secretary (Economy, Trade and Industry) at the Ministry of Finance and Economy Dr Hajah May Fa’ezah binti Haji Ahmad Ariffin led the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah.

Religious Education Officer at Jerudong Religious School Nurhafizah binti Ali Hassan led the recitation of Surah Yaasiin while Darussalam Services Religious Guidance Officer Hajah Rusita binti Haji Yahya recited Doa Munajat.

At the event, Assistant lecturer of policy studies at Universiti Brunei Darussalam Dr Hamizah binti Haji Haidi recited Asmaa Ul-Husna while religious education officer at Darussalam Services Hajah Norsinah binti Haji Hussin recited Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
