Thirty-eight mosque takmir committee members and women worshippers of Pehin Khatib Abdullah Mosque (PEKA) in Kampong Kulapis visited Miri’s Orphans Foundation Complex recently.
The group, led by mosque imam Haji Muhd Burhanuddin bin Haji Damit and the mosque’s women affairs head Hajah Norainah binti Haji Kahar, was welcomed by the foundation’s supervisor Shamsiah binti Haji Sanai Tahir, as well as the orphanage’s welfare committee members.
The PEKA group interacted with 57 orphans and handed over donations to the orphans.
The group was also taken on a tour of the complex facilities including the dormitories. – Azlan Othman
