The 108th Advanced Guidance Scheme for female converts began nationwide yesterday, which drew the participation of 25 converts in Brunei-Muara District, 18 in Tutong, 17 in Belait and 18 in Temburong.
In Brunei-Muara, the course was conducted at the Darul Huda Building of the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI). In other districts, they were held at the respective Dakwah Units.
Under the Muallaf Development Division of the PDI, converts will be given in-depth knowledge on Iqra’, Tauhid, Fiqh Solat, Islamic history, Tasawwuf, religious practices as well as sessions with the Family Counseling Service section.
The course aims to provide moral, spiritual and psychological support to converts, help them to better understand religious teachings as well as provide guidance for incorporating the teachings of Islam in daily life and portray the beauty of Islamic teachings.
The 14-day course concludes tomorrow. – Lyna Mohamad
