The Kampong Pulaie Mosque celebrated its 38th anniversary with a religious ceremony yesterday.
The event saw a Khatam Al-Quran with 113 participants comprising members of the Kampong Pulaie Mosque Takmir Committee, mosque congregants and mosque Muslimah group, who each recited one verse of Al-Quran. It began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the guest of honour.
Imam Haji Mohammad Nuralif bin Haji Talib led the recitation of Al-Quran verses and recited Takhtim, while imam Awangku Muhammad Hazim bin Pengiran Haji Japar recited Doa Khatam.
Asmadi bin Haji Ahmad led the Dikir Marhaban performance, while imam Mohd Zakaria bin Haji Mohd Salleh recited Doa Selamat and Doa Kesyukuran.
The ceremony also saw presentation of souvenirs to former imam, bilal and merbut at the mosque.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan and Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid as a patron of Kampong Pulaie Mosque Takmir Committee were also present. – Lyna Mohamad
