The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) held a Tedarus ceremony at the Pekan Seria Mosque yesterday in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.
Permanent Secretary (Safety and Welfare) at the MoHA Salminan bin Haji Burut was the guest of honour.
Also present were Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah, Assistant Belait District Officer Mohamad Yassin bin Haji Ahmed, as well as penghulus, village heads, officers and staff from the MoHA.
A waqaf of vacuum cleaners, air purifiers and prayer mats was also handed over to the mosque. The permanent secretary also handed over donations to the orphans of Lorong Tiga Selatan Seria.
Meanwhile, a similar ceremony was held at the Kampong Sungai Teraban Mosque, attended by Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang.
