The Ministry of Education (MoE) emerged winners in the open category of the Inter-Ministry Netball Championship in conjunction with the 30th Civil Service Day celebration at the Multi-purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex yesterday.
The Ministry of Finance and Economy emerged runners-up while the Prime Minister’s Office secured third place.
Meanwhile in the veteran category, the Ministry of Development emerged winners followed by Ministry of Health as runners-up with MoE coming in third place.
Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani presented the prizes.
The tournament, which started on October 27, saw the participation of 10 teams in the open category and three teams in the veteran category.
The tournament served as a continuous development project for netball as well as to enhance cooperation and understanding among officers and staff in the ministries in developing and raising the quality of netball in the Sultanate. – Fadhil Yunus
