MoE delegation talks to students in Singapore

The Ministry of Education (MoE) delegation in Singapore on a working visit held a get-together ceremony yesterday with students from the Sultanate studying in the country.

The ceremony is one of the activities in the programme outlined during the working visit which started on September 28.

Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the MoE Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad, as the head of the delegation, advised the students to remain focussed on their studies while taking advantage of the opportunities available while studying in the country.

During the gathering, the MoE delegation interacted with the students and listened to their experiences studying in Singapore.

Also present at the gathering was High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Singapore Dato Paduka Haji Sidek bin Ali.

Seventeen secondary to tertiary students from Brunei Darussalam are registered with the MoE as studying in Singapore.

The working visit to Singapore aimed to take a closer look at the schools and hostels for the placement of Brunei students under the Brunei-Singapore Youth Education Scholarship.

The delegation left Singapore yesterday.
