The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism yesterday organised an Ilal Hijrah 1446 celebration at the ministry’s Setia Pahlawan Hall.
Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin was the guest of honour at the event that saw a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and verses from Surah Al-Baqarah by student from Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muhammad Ishqal Ezairy @ Abdul Mateen bin Mohammad Shahruni.
The religious event also saw a lecture titled ‘Memelihara Akal, Masyarakat Sejahtera’ by Islamic Da’wah Centre’s Assistant Religious Development Officer Ahmad Muzhafar bin Haji Marsidi. The event is the ministry’s annual religious activities to mark major Islamic calendar events’ celebration and foster closer ties. – Rokiah Mahmud
