Ministers visit schools ahead of new integrated system

Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh paid working visits to government and private primary schools, ahead of the integration of religious subjects into the general education system.

Among the purposes of the visit were to review implementation which will take place tomorrow and to discuss with school leaders and religious teachers.

The two primary schools in the itinerary were Mabohai and Pusar Ulak primary schools and St Andrew’s School in the Brunei-Muara district.

The visits focused on examining school infrastructure and facilities such as ablution, prayer, dining and waiting areas.

Meanwhile, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim visited Seri Mulia Sarjana International School, Mata-Mata primary school and Pengiran Pekerma Setia Diraja Sahibul Bandar primary school.

Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the Ministry of Education (MoE) Dr Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin visited Puni primary school and Amo primary school and Suria Jaya School in the Temburong District.

Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the MoE Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad visited Jerudong International School, Rimba II primary school and Rimba III primary school in the Brunei-Muara District.
