    MinDef, RBAF, RBPF mark Crown Prince’s birthday

    The Ministry of Defence (MinDef) and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held Doa Kesyukuran ceremonies in conjunction with the 49th birthday celebration of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, yesterday.

    The ceremonies were held throughout all suraus in RBAF camps, bases and garrisons including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque, with the main focus at Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garrison through a ‘Whole-of-Ministry’ approach.

    The ceremony began with Maghrib prayer followed by Sunnat Hajat prayers, recitation of Surah Yaasiin and a Doa in conjunction with the 49th birthday celebration of His Royal Highness led by Staff Officer Grade One Religious Operations of the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT) Major Abdul Mujib bin Haji Japar.

    The ceremony concluded with Isyak prayer led by Surau Ad-Difa’ Imam Mohd Khairol Azmi bin Haji Salleh.

    Deputy Minister of Defence Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd Kadir, RBAF Commander Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, permanent secretary and deputy permanent secretaries at the MinDef, senior leadership as well as staff and personnel of the MinDef and the RBAF attended the ceremonies.

    The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) also held Sunnat Hajat prayers and Doa Kesyukuran ceremony to mark the royal birthday celebration yesterday.

    The event was held at the Police Headquarters’ Surau in Gadong.

    Commissioner of Police Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali attended as the guest of honour.

    Also present were Deputy Commissioner of Police Dato Seri Pahlawan Sulaiman bin Alidin as well as directors, deputy directors, police district commanding officers, formation leaders, senior officers, RBPF members and staff.

    The ceremony was organised by the Islamic Religious Body of the RBPF.

    The gathering ended with Asar prayer led by the surau’s Imam APO Staff Sergeant 6472 Mohammad Yusri bin Haji Abu Bakar.
