Malaysian university makes cordial visit

Some 32 members of the Universiti Putra Malaysia’s (UPM) PEMADAM Club and PEMADAM Association in Bintulu, Sarawak were hosted by the Kampong Lambak Youth (PERBEKAL) Association to a six-day visit to the Sultanate recently.

The delegation visited the Youth Development Centre, Brunei History Centre, Integration Centre Department of Prisons Department and the Islamic Da’wah Centre as well as local non-governmental organisations Aftercare Support Association (AFSA) and Ar Rafi Archery Sports Academy (PASMA).

They also took part in a friendly badminton tournament and other recreational sports. The delegation and hosts also shared a cultural performance between their members.

The delegation was led by senior assistant registrar cum advisor for UPM campus programme Rosidah binti Basir and PEMADAM Association’s Hamzah bin Kaw. – Lyna Mohamad
