Dayangku Aliah Hannah binti Pengiran Adanan was announced as the grand prize winner of a Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid in the ‘Transact and Win’ campaign during BIBD Mega Karnival yesterday.
The carnival, which took place from November 13 to 17, attracted thousands of visitors, where it showcased local talent, products and activities.
Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Junaidi bin Haji Masri expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, saying, “The response to our first-ever BIBD Mega Karnival has been truly inspiring. This event demonstrated the spirit of community and highlighted our commitment to fostering local economic growth. We are excited to build on this momentum for future events.”
The carnival featured the much-anticipated grand prize giveaway, which also included prizes such as trips to Japan, Australia, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok as well as a trip to perform umrah. The event also promoted financial inclusivity, with booths offering financial education and access to BIBD’s digital banking services.
The bank also collaborated with green companies to responsibly manage waste during the event in line with its commitment to sustainability. The organic waste at the event were repurposed and plastic bottle caps were collected for eco-friendly initiatives.
The carnival dedicated a preview session for children with special needs and their families, highlighting inclusivity and ensuring a welcoming environment for all attendees. – Fadley Faisal
