Locals are excited to see the spectacular ceremony of the Royal Wedding between His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen and Yang Mulia Dayang Anisha Rosnah binti Adam which begins today with the Majiis Istiadat Bersuruh Diraja.
Local influencer and fashion follower Maurina said, “I am very excited to see the attire that will be worn by the royalty, especially heirlooms and jewellery.”
She added that royal heirlooms are not on display at any museum, thus not everyone is lucky enough to see them up close.
Meanwhile, Amirah said, “The Royal Wedding ceremony will be a very exciting time. I look forward to seeing the whole programme, as well as the bride and groom’s attire and that of royal family members.”
Dahlia said she and her sister cannot wait to see all the events for the Royal Wedding.
“They are very unique, reflecting our traditions and processes. It is not something we see normally, especially one on such a large scale,” she said.
The siblings are also eager to see the various foreign guests that will be attending the events.
The ceremony begins today and ends on January 16 with the Majlis Istiadat Membaca Doa Selamat dan Menutup Gendang Jaga-Jaga.
The main highlight will be Majlis Istiadat Bersanding Pengantin Diraja and the Royal Procession through the capital on January 14. – Adib Noor
