Four local riders have returned home after a 14-day expedition covering 4,000 kilometres across several countries in Europe.
Haji Bakar bin Haji Arshad, Pengiran Haji Yamin bin Pengiran Haji Damit, Md Ali Raden and Haji Jime bin Haji Kassim from the Darussalam Motorcycle Association (PEMODA) and BMW Motorrad Brunei joined the Malaysian Group Overlanders in the expedition. They began their journey in Croatia, riding through Slovenia, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, North Mecadonia, Greece, Albania, Mintenegro and Bosnia before returning to Croatia.
“Alhamdulillah, our motor expedition in the Balkans was a very meaningful experience for us. Every country we visited has unique characteristics that made the journey valuable,” said the Bruneian bikers.
“The Balkan states have a rich, deep and complex history. We visited historical sites that gave a deeper understanding of the past and how it led to the present, while the different languages and cultures taught us acceptance and adaptation.
