A local man, 50, was detained by Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) personnel last Saturday in Kampong Sungai Pandan ‘A’ for the alleged possession of four bottles and 10 cans of alcohol as well as 10 packets of cigarettes.
The suspect was detained during a joint operation by the Kampong Ayer Police Station, Bandar Seri Begawan Central Police Station, Criminal Investigation Department, Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) as well as Immigration and National Registration Department and Narcotics Control Bureau, according to the RBPF.
The suspect and contraband were handed over to RCED for action under Section 146 of the Excise Order 2006.
