Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad said the library at the Malay Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) is transforming itself to provide various services and be a source of skills and knowledge.
The minister said so during yesterday’s 19th Legislative Council (LegCo) session in response to a query from LegCo member Yang Berhormat Hajah Safiah binti Sheikh Haji Abdul Salam (Infofoto, pic below) on efforts to boost visitors to the library.
Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi said in ensuring that the library is information technology-relevant, customer friendly and in line with modern libraries, access to Internet and computers are available, while maintaining aspirations of DBP in line with the evolution of library at international level.
The minister said the DBP also teaches traditional and contemporary music to attract youth.
