ANN/KOREA HERALD – LG Electronics, the South Korean home appliances giant, announced yesterday that it has completed the construction of four new research and development (R&D) facilities at LG Science Park, marking the final phase of its plan to establish a centralised control tower for advancing technology development.
With the addition of these new buildings, LG Electronics now operates a total of 10 R&D facilities within the LG Group compound, housing 10,000 R&D personnel.
At the expanded buildings, most of the researchers affiliated to the chief technology officer’s division – responsible for leading advanced technology R&D – and four business divisions – will be working together.
