ANN/THE KOREA HERALD – CJ ENM, the South Korean entertainment giant, is set to host its grandest Korean culture and music celebration, KCON, in Hong Kong for the inaugural time this year.
Scheduled for March 30 to 31 at the AsiaWorld-Expo, one of Hong Kong’s premier convention venues accommodating up to 10,000 attendees, KCON Hong Kong 2024 marks a significant milestone for the sixth-largest K-pop album importer.
Previously, the AsiaWorld-Expo hosted the MAMA Awards from 2013 to 2018.
Anticipated to feature a stellar lineup of top-tier K-pop acts, KCON Hong Kong promises an unforgettable experience for fans. Following this debut, KCON will continue its global journey with events in Japan on May 10 to 12 and KCON LA 2024 on July 26 to 28.
KCON is also set to be held in Europe and Saudi Arabia in the second half of the year, for which details are yet to be unveiled.
“KCON, which has served as a platform where K-pop fans gather and experience Korean culture, will further evolve this year to establish its identity as a K-pop festival that projects K-pop’s present and future,” said Shim Jun-beom, CJ ENM’s music content business head.
