The Magistrate’s Court on Saturday ordered a jailbird to serve another year’s imprisonment after being found guilty of shoplifting.
Forty-four-year-old Farhat Wahyudy bin Abdullah @ Rudy, who is currently in jail for a theft offence, was convicted after a trial on Saturday on a charge of shoplifting from a supermarket in Berakas on January 25.
The defendant made away with two cans of butter and a car freshener that afternoon.
Prosecutor Nurul Husna Abidin prosecuted the case.
Magistrate Nur Eleana binti Dato Seri Paduka Haji Hairol Arni also ordered the recovered stolen items returned to the supermarket during the trial. – Fadley Faisal
