Some 60 people attended an event to celebrate Israk Mikraj organised by Kampong Lambak Youth Association (PERBEKAL) on Sunday.
PERBEKAL President Pengiran Haji Nordin bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud was present.
The ceremony began with the recitation of verses of Al-Quran and a speech by Permanent Chairman of PERBEKAL Haji Zakaria bin Haji Liman, in his capacity as the chairperson of the ceremony.
A special talk on Israk Mikraj was delivered by Hamzah bin Haji Jali from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council.
The ceremony also featured a dikir performance and a menepung tawar to mark the return of 11 PERBEKAL members from umrah.
The ceremony concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat and the presentation of souvenirs to the invited speaker.
PERBEKAL Continuous Chairman and Head of Kampong Lambak ‘B’ Pengiran Jofri bin Pengiran Haji Zaidi, Deputy President Pengiran Mahari bin Pengiran Haji Md Tahir, Vice President I and Chair of Women Bureau Siti Seriana binti Haji Mohd Yusof Vice and Vice President II Pengiran Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Haji Md Tahir were also present. – Lyna Mohamad
