Intake ‘18 team (Alumni 2022) emerged winners of the Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Alumni Charity Futsal Cup Tournament 2023 at the Public Works Department Sports Complex, in Berakas recently.
Second place went to LomGrad FT team (student team), followed by TBM team (Alumni 2021).
Ahmad Fauzan bin Haji Hamdan from Intake ‘18 team was named best player, while Mohammad Adib bin Suimi from TBM team scored the most goals to bag the top scorer award. Mohammad Amzar bin Iswandi of LomGrad FT was named best goalkeeper.
A total of 66 alumni, including a combined group of alumni and Indonesian students, participated.
Nine teams competed comprising six UNISSA alumni teams, two student teams and one staff team.
The tournament aimed to foster healthy relationships and form a sense of belonging among UNISSA alumni.
Some alumni, who built businesses, helped to sponsor the tournament.
The fee collection from the competition will be totally handed over to the UNISSA Ta’awun Fund which provides assistance to students in need or students who have suffered misfortune during their studies.
The tournament was organised by UNISSA Alumni Affairs Office and Alumni Association.
