Bleeding for a good cause

Daniel Lim

The Indian Association of Belait (IAB) organised a blood donation campaign in conjunction with the 39th National Day celebration at the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital in Kuala Belait last Sunday, attended by Indian nationals as well as local community members.

IAB President Salimo thanked the participants and highlighted that more charity and welfare events are planned.

All blood donors received commemorative mementoes.

The association has been organising similar events each year for the past 22 years, except during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The last blood donation was organised in February of last year, representing IAB’s commitment to the local community as one of its established objectives of charity and social welfare.

As the campaign is held twice a year, IAB plans to organise another campaign later this year.
