Road to Gold: 50-kilometre journey
The Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) Bikers embarked on a 50-kilometre journey dubbed ‘Road to Gold’ to mark His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 78th birthday celebration and countdown to RB’s golden jubilee.
The group, which included two crew cars and one pillion rider, started from RB Campus to Temburong District. The bikers delivered necessities to eight underprivileged families. – Fadley Faisal
Doa Kesyukuran
The Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 78th birthday celebration recently.
The ceremony began with mass Maghrib prayer, followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Kesyukuran before concluding with mass Isyak prayer. – Fadley Faisal
Drawing project
Students and teachers of DES School commemorated His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 78th birthday celebration with a drawing project.
Twenty-five kindergarten students drew and coloured a birthday cake, which was later displayed on the classroom wall to celebrate the occasion. – Daniel Lim
Convoy ride
Thirty-two Mercedes Benz and BMW cars from Benzer Club and Bimmer Generation Team Association participated in a convoy ride to celebrate His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 78th birthday. The event aimed to instil love for His Majesty and the country as well as foster closer ties among the members.
The journey began at Jerudong Park Playground and concluded at Seri Kenangan Beach in the Tutong District. – James Kon
