Immigration law enforcers carried out a raid, dubbed Operasi Sakat JIPK 52/2023, targetting a house in Mukim Gadong on Monday.
During the operation, three foreigners were brought to the Immigration Law Enforcement Division Office at the Immigration and National Registration Department headquarters for further investigations with one of the three believed to be a runaway worker.
The immigration law enforcement has been increasing monitoring, operations and inspections, both individually or through collaboration with other law enforcement agencies.
The immigration law enforcement reminds the public that employing immigration offenders is liable to legal actions and welcomes public tip-off on tracking down immigration offenders.
The department assures the public that information and informants’ details are treated with strict confidentiality, and any information on immigration offenders can be directed to the department’s hotline number.
The public is also reminded that the department, through its Law Enforcement Division, will apprehend, investigate and take legal actions according to its authority and legal action will be taken on foreigners who engaged in immigration offences and if found guilty is liable to be brought to court, imprisoned and blacklisted.
