Hotel facilities, safety measures in focus during minister’s visit

Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin and the Brunei Association of Hotels (BAH) made a courtesy visit to Mulia Hotel yesterday.

The minister was welcomed by hotel owner Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin and General Manager Brandon Tay.

During the visit, the minister expressed satisfaction with the hotel’s facilities, including the gym, swimming pool, big conference room for meetings, spacious banquet hall for wedding events and others.

The minister was also pleased to see the hotel rooms and premises were clean and comfortable, as well as the quality of food served, one of the main factors drawing tourists to stay. Brandon Tay noted that the hotel puts priority on all these matters including safety and security and ensures the staff are well versed with the safety procedures and actions to take during an emergency.

Tourists staying at the hotel often head to the nearby Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium for fitness activities.

The stadium’s close proximity, safe environment and suitability for exercise make it a popular spot for workouts both during the day and in the evening. – Lyna Mohamad
