Hawa FC emerged as champions after winning the final match against Mengelella FT at the Belait Football League in the Seria Football Arena on Sunday.
Hawa FC scored the first goal of the match in the first half before continuing the momentum in the second half as the match ended 5-0.
Belait District Football Association (PBDB) President Pengiran Saiful Redzali bin Pengiran Jaya Indera Pengiran Haji Mokhtar Puteh, Deputy President Morni bin Haji Zakaria and committee members attended.
The previous day saw Hoist FT up against Nusantara FT, with the match concluding in favour of Hoist FT in a decisive 2-0 result.
The trophies were presented to the top three performing teams – Hawa FC, followed by HR FT and Nelayan FT in second and third places.
Two awards were also handed out to mark exemplary play by the teams and participating players. Akhdan ST received the Fair Play award.
The other award commemorates the player who scored the most goals, which went to jersey number 9 from Hawa FC Abdul Halim bin Shawaludin, who scored 10 goals across the seven matches he participated in.
