Some 20 Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan) volunteers participated in the Fardu Kifayah workshop on proper management of jenazah at Surau Al-Shafi’i, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) yesterday.
The volunteers were given theoretical and practical guidance from Head of Graduate Programme at UNISSA’s Mazhab Shafi’i Research Centre Dr Cecep Soleh Kurniawan for the theory session and imam Haji Burhanuddin bin Haji Damit and Norlila binti Mohammad for the practical session.
Organised by Yayasan, UNISSA’s Centre for Leadership and Lifelong Learning and Mazhab Shafi’i Research Centre, the workshop aimed to increase understanding and skill on the management of jenazah, in accordance to the guidance of Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah. – James Kon
