Goodwill visit strengthens community ties

A 26-member delegation from the Mosque Takmir Committee and Muslimah Guidance Class of Kampong Sungai Bunga Mosque conducted a goodwill visit to Kampong Putat on Monday, aimed at fostering community ties through religious, cultural and recreational activities.

The delegation visited Kampong Putat Mosque and Kampong Putat Herbal Recreational Park, where they were welcomed by Legislative Council (LegCo) member and Village Head of Kampong Putat Yang Berhormat Zainol bin Haji Mohamed. He was joined by acting imam Afendi bin Haji Taha, members of the Mosque Takmir Committee, the Village Consultative Council (MPK) and residents.

The programme featured the recitation of Sunnat Hajat prayer, Ratib Al-Attas and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.

The participants also attended a briefing on the Kampong Putat Mosque, its history, weekly activities and collaborations with the MPK.

A cleanliness campaign was held alongside a networking session to strengthen ties between Kampong Sungai Bunga and Kampong Putat. The delegation explored the Kampong Putat Herbal Recreational Park to learn about the village’s herbal heritage and recreational offerings.

Yang Berhormat Zainol emphasised the importance of community engagement in preserving cultural and religious values while promoting unity. The goodwill visit concluded with the participants expressing gratitude for Kampong Putat’s hospitality and the insights gained.
