The Foochow Association Kuala Belait celebrated Children’s Day with games and activities for children and their families at its premises on Sunday.
Chairman Tan Tei Tei in a speech said, “Organised by our youth section, our members prepared many games and activities for the children to enjoy over the course of this afternoon.”
He also highlighted the importance of celebrating childhood to create lifelong memories to cherish.
“Children are at a stage where they are still learning and growing. As parents, we want the best for our children, for them to make memories of joy that will last a lifetime.
“We also hope that through this celebration, the children will grow up with proper moral and cultural values,” he said.
The celebration saw a host of carnival games with fun prizes up for grabs to enliven the atmosphere. Representatives from the Youth Section of the Brunei Hokkien Association in Bandar Seri Begawan were also present. – Daniel Lim
