Four converts in rural areas receive aid

Four converts received assistance during a welfare aid distribution ceremony for those in need in the rural area of Tutong District yesterday.

The event was organised by the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) through the Muallaf Development Division (Muallaf Welfare) and the Tutong District Da’wah Unit.

Muhammad Amlee bin Abdullah and Muhammad Jofri bin Abdullah received electric generators, while Haji Muhammad Zariman bin Abdullah Tong received a water tank and Roszainah Atiqah binti Abdul Rahman @ Pangan received assistance for building material.

Leading the delegation and overseeing the distribution was PDI Director Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh.

The assistance aims to improve the quality of life and comfort of the converts, which is one of the methods of propagation and care provided by the PDI to new converts in the country.

It also aims to monitor and support the development of the lives and welfare of the underprivileged, especially among the converts, such as basic needs or other forms of aid, to enable them to fulfil their religious obligations more effectively.

PDI Acting Senior Religious Officer Hajah Zunainah binti Haji Gunong, Acting Penghulu of Mukim Rambai Mohammad Dahlan bin Kaslan; Acting Village Head of Kampong Merimbun/Kuala Ungar Sani bin Nangkat and Village Head of Kampong Long Mayan/Kampong Bukit Muhd Eddy Suffian bin Abdullah were also present. – Adib Noor
