Forging ties through Raya festivities

Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha was among guests at Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at the Collaboration Hub of the RB Campus yesterday. RB Chief Executive Officer Captain Sabirin bin Haji Abdul Hamid welcomed and greeted guests along with RB’s senior management and staff.

Guests were treated to a spread of Hari Raya delicacies prepared by Royal Brunei Culinary (RBC).

Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd (MPC) held its annual Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house on Tuesday.

The celebration at The Garden’s Veranda, in Kampong Rimba saw about 500 guests including Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha.

Deputy ministers, permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretaries, senior government officials, foreign dignitaries, business and public figures also attended.

MPC’s Chief Executive Officer Zeng Caili and Chief Operating Officer Fazilah bin Haji Yassin welcomed the guests along with the MPC’s management team and staff.

The celebration aimed to strengthen MPC’s ties with those who supported the company.

Baiduri Bank welcomed over 900 guests comprising the bank’s corporate clients, business partners and stakeholders at its ‘Baiduri Silaturrahim’ event at Indera Samudra Grand Hall, The Empire Brunei yesterday. Baiduri Bank Chief Executive Officer Ti Eng Hui thanked guest for the continued support and the bank’s employees for the hard work towards achieving their milestone.

Corporate associates and partners from Belait District gathered at the grand ballroom of the V-Plaza Hotel as Datastream Digital Sdn Bhd (DST) hosted another Corporate Raya celebration yesterday.

DST Chief Executive Officer Radin Sufri bin Radin Basiuni welcomed the attendees along with the senior management team and other DST team members.

Themed around ‘Nyonya’, the venue was adorned with various kain batik, flowers, biscuits, and Hari Raya ornaments across the ballroom.

The celebration also showcased an orchestra performance by a local group, the PGS RMF Music Studio where they played instrumental music, incorporating classical Hari Raya melodies.

Guests were invited to capture their moments with their colleagues and friends at a photo booth while enjoying traditional delicacies.

Suzuki Brunei & SugarBun Brunei

Suzuki Brunei and SugarBun Brunei hosted a Hari Raya celebration for orphans and children of Pusat Ehsan Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam at the Suzuki showroom in Gadong yesterday. The children were treated to games and participants were given the opportunity to win a variety of prizes.

The event aimed to create an engaging environment and allowing participants to indulge in moments of happiness.

Islamic Da’wah Centre

The Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) through the Dakwah Development Division held a gathering in celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri dubbed Mesra Hari Raya Aidilfitri with converts in the Temburong District.

It was held at the Kampong Sibut Religious Hall in the presence of Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang.

PDI Director Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh and Temburong Converts Association Chairman Muhammad Ashim Amrullah bin Abdul Rahman Menchok were also in attendance.

The event aimed to give an opportunity for converts in the remote villages to experience the festivities as well as forge ties among PDI officers and converts.
