The Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) held its eighth Tree Planting Day as part of the Messengers of Peace programme at the association’s project site in Kampong Sungai Mau, Jalan Labi-Liang in Belait District yesterday.
The programme aims to promote environmental conservation among scout members while raising an awareness on the importance of caring for the environment.
It has been held every June 1 since 2014 to support environmental efforts using plant preservation and monitoring system.
The Messengers of Peace programme is a World Scout Committee initiative that engages scouts around the world to implement projects that contribute towards a better future as well as work together in achieving world peace.
