Pekan Kuala Belait was a hive of activities as runners and residents took to the streets for the ‘We Run the Night’ as part of KBku Ceria along Jalan Sungai, Kuala Belait on Saturday.
Over 80 runners gathered to spread joy across Pekan Kuala Belait and raise funds for Chung Lian School, Kampong Sungai Liang.
Penghulu of Mukim Kuala Belait Haji Abdul Afiq bin Zainuddin, the guest of honour, presented a mock cheque to Chung Lian School’s Board of Governor Chairman Chai Tze Yun on behalf of RYS Entertainment who organised the event.
Totalling BND1,330, the funds will help to accelerate the construction of the school’s new facilities, said the organisers.
RYS Entertainment Managing Director Ampuan Haji Yusof bin Ampuan Haji Kula, general manager Ampuan Nurul Atikah binti Ampuan Mumali and business development manager Foo Kian Ming were also present at the handover of the mock cheque. – Daniel Lim
