Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd (DA) has extended its sponsorship of two students at Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam (Pusat Ehsan) for the seventh consecutive year running, according to a press release.
DA has been a long-standing benefactor of the ‘Special Needs Student Adoption Scheme’ following its launch in 2017.
“As a responsible corporate citizen that believes in promoting environmental sustainability, community involvement, and adoption of ethical business practices, DA strives to provide social investments that impact positively to relevant causes, including the special needs community,” the company said.
Pusat Ehsan empowers long-term learning and development for its students, and DA said it has been honoured to witness the life-changing progress students have made as a direct result of the Student Adoption Scheme and hopes that other organisations in the private sector will follow suit.
Through the Student Adoption Scheme, sponsors are given the opportunity to invest in the life, growth, and long-term development of students by providing access to additional learning support, rehabilitation services, activities, facilities, and transportation expenses required.
The supplementary support is hoped to help students tap into their full potential to be recognised as skilled people in line with Pusat Ehsan’s vision to enable the special needs community to live a meaningful life in society.
The donation handover was held at Pusat Ehsan. Representing DA was its Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Hajah Rahayu binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Razak; and accepting on behalf of Pusat Ehsan was its Executive / Operational Trustee Pengiran Datin Hajah Noraini binti Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja Pg Hj Abd Momin.
