The Hayya Ilal Arabiyyah programme was held at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School yesterday as part of the effort by the Islamic Studies Department (JPI) to empower Arabic speaking skills among Arabic school students.
The programme was organised by the Co-Curriculum Division of the JPI, Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA).
Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, the guest of honour, officiated the opening ceremony and launched the programme.
He also presented prizes to the winners.
Among the activities featured were a Masterchef cooking competition, a cultural exhibition and a Souq Ar-Rayhan bazaar.
The programme aimed to encourage students to take up interest in speaking Arabic.
