    Educational visit to East Kalimantan

    A delegation of six academic staff members of the Faculty of Islamic Development Management (FPPI) at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) recently embarked on a visit to several higher education institutions in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.

    The objective of their visit was to foster collaboration with experts from Indonesian higher education institutions while promoting UNISSA’s academic programmes.

    Led by UNISSA Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, the delegation included Dean of FPPI Associate Professor Dr Anis Malik Thoha and Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Associate Professor Dr Hajah Rose binti Abdullah.

    The visit aimed to facilitate experience sharing and the exchange of ideas, particularly in the fields of agriculture and Islamic civilisation.

    Additionally, the visit sought to strengthen bilateral relations between UNISSA and Indonesian higher education institutions. During their visit to Mulawarman University, the delegation was briefed on the academic programmes offered by the Faculty of Agriculture.

    They also visited Universitas Widya Gama Mahakam Samarinda, where they renewed the signing of a memorandum of understanding. During the visit to Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris State Islamic University, its rector Professor Dr H Mukhamad Ilyasin, expressed hope for further cooperation through the exchange of academic staff and students. – Azlan Othman
