Fifteen families in need in Kampong Tanjong Nangka, Mukim Sengkurong received donations yesterday.
The Kampong Tanjong Nangka Village Consultative Council (MPK) teamed-up with Pooman Jaya Sdn Bhd supermarket to deliver food necessities and cash.
Kampong Tanjong Nangka’s Acting Village Head Haji Hamdan bin Ajak and Pooman Jaya Sdn Bhd managers Tajudin Ahmeed and Abu Taher handed out donations.
Meanwhile Pooman Jaya Sdn Bhd Assistant Manager Haji Maideen bin Abdul Rahim said the donations comprise food necessities worth over BND70 per family.
“It is the first of its kind being organised by the supermarket branch in Tanjong Nangka where previously, it was organised with MPK Kapok,” he said.
“We wish to continue this charity activity in the near future. Another donation of food necessities will be held in Kampong Kapok.”
