A webinar organised by the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) through the Library Division was held to encourage the culture of reading.
Held via Zoom and streamed on DBP’s social media platforms, including Facebook and YouTube, the event attracted over 130 viewers.
The webinar saw a talk from film director, Muhammad Iskandar bin Abdul Karim who shared on how the social media could play a role in promoting reading culture through various functions and strategies.
Another speaker, senior DBP’s Librarian Officer Emi Suryaney binti Haji Hipny, advocated the promotion of a reading culture by developing knowledge-based-communities.
She also said DBP’s library provided various services and programmes in promoting a reading culture across all age groups in a bid to enhance local communities. – Rokiah Mahmud
