The executive committee members of the Nationwide Youth Mosque (Belia Masjid Senegara) recently organised a prize and certificate presentation ceremony for the Video Da’wah 3.0 competition, aimed at promoting positive use of social media to spread beneficial knowledge and dakwah within the community.
Khairunnasibah binti Haji Abdullah claimed the top prize of BND400, while AR Filem and Hajah Siti Nur Khadijah binti Haji Abu Samah were placed as first and second runners-up. Acting Director of Mosque Affairs at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri, the guest of honour, presented the prizes and certificates to the winners.
The competition sought to encourage the public to practise the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in their daily lives, which the organisers believe helps to preserve the mind.
It also provided a platform for participants to showcase their talents and creativity in producing dakwah videos. The competition, held to commemorate Maulidur Rasul for 1446 Hijrah, also aimed to further highlight youth talents in the Sultanate and hopes to implement more programmes that benefit society in the future. – Rokiah Mahmud
