His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, who is also the Chairman of DPMM FC, attended a group photo session along with the club’s players, management and officials at the Jerudong Park Mini Stadium in Kampong Jerudong yesterday.
The Gegar Gegar men commenced the 2024/2025 season in the Singapore Premier League with a 2-1 victory to Young Lions at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore last weekend.
The team, managed by the newly appointed head coach Rui Capela Batista, will continue their campaign against reigning holders Albirex Niigata (S) at the Jurong East Stadium on Saturday. Looking to rack up consecutive wins, Batista will hope his side can make a statement against the serial league winners and continue their good start.
The Brunei-based outfit made reinforcements this season with foreign imports Patrick Flottmann, Gabriel Gama, Julio Cruz and Miguel Oliveira. They also retained the services of Farshad Noor and Kristijan Naumovski, both of whom signing contract extensions.
Portuguese forward Miguel Oliveira, who showed moments of wizardry against the Young Lions, made his mark with a goal in his debut appearance.
