Multiple efforts have been made to increase access to education and job opportunities for the autistic. On this front, the Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei plays an active role in stemming work discrimination against autistic adults, with one of its initiatives being the introduction of BJAK Café in June 2021. SMARTER Brunei President Pengiran Zamri bin Pengiran Haji Bujang said this at the SMARTER Brunei Charity Carnival 2022 yesterday, which was launched by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad.
