A company was fined BND500 by the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe) for negligence on a public road on December 27.
A heavy-duty vehicle owned by the company was caught spilling trash it was carrying onto the road.
The company has been given seven days to settle the fine and failure to do so will result in the case being brought to court and face a fine between BND2,000 and BND10,000 for the first offence, and between BND10,000 and BND30,000 and imprisonment of no more than 12 months, or both, for subsequent offences. – Daniel Lim
