Company fined BND1,000 for illegal dumping in public areas

A company was recently slapped with a BND1,000 fine by the Licensing and Enforcement Unit of the Temburong District Office for disposing rubbish in public area.

The company was given a warning before the fine was issued and was ordered to clean up the place as well as settle the fine within a week, according to the Temburong District Office in a statement.

Failure to do so will result in a fine of not more than BND1,000 for the first offence and no more than BND3,000 for the subsequent offence and imprisonment of no more than three months, if found guilty, the district office added. – James Kon
