Commerce chamber strengthens ties with Miri businesses with MoU signing

The Brunei-Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DPPMB) and Dewan Usahawan Bumiputera Sarawak (DUBS) Miri Branch signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to encourage collaboration between members of the two organisations to boost bilateral trade, according to a statement from the DPPMB.

DPPMB President Haji Abdul Hamid @ Sabli bin Haji Arsad; DPPMB Vice-President I Haji Abdul bin Haji Ahmad; DUBS Miri Branch Vice Chairman Mohamad Abdullah Jamin and DUBS Miri Branch Secretary Khairul Sapardin bin Mohamad signed the MoU on behalf of their organisations at a ceremony in Wisma DUBS Miri, Malaysia. Pujut State Assembly member Adam Yii, who is also Mayor of Miri, and Sarawak Premier’s Political Secretary Sharkawi Suhaili witnessed the signing.

The MoU further strengthens the friendship between DPPMB and DUBS Miri Branch. The two chambers first established contact in 1989, said the DPPMB.

Prior to the signing, 20 DPPMB members visited DUBS’ member companies including D’Frentz lekor factory, Woodpecker Artwork factory and showroom, Kun Product Factory, Watiza Agro Farm, Tim’s Seaside Resort and SM Ecofarm.
