Kolej International Graduate Studies (KIGS) recently hosted 20 SEA-Vet officers from ASEAN member countries for a hybrid regional training programme focused on Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0) applications. The visit aimed to showcase KIGS’ cutting-edge advancements in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and other innovative technologies that enhance the learning experience.
The event, held at KIGS, began with a welcome address by KIGS representatives, followed by a demonstration of AR and VR projects. The demonstrations highlighted the practical applications of these technologies in education and training.
KIGS Head of the Faculty of Information Technology Hendro Ang emphasised the college’s commitment to advancing education and technological innovation. He acknowledged the collaboration with Rumine Cooperation in bridging the gap between academia and industry.
The programme showcased student projects from the Faculty of Information Technology, spanning AR, VR, game development, website systems and other advanced technologies.
The event also included a networking session, providing an opportunity for participants to engage with each other and representatives from VR and AR companies in Brunei. – Lyna Mohamad
