Laksamana College of Business (LCB) recently hosted an event organised by the Pearson BTEC International Level 3 in Business students called the The 2-Day Pop-Up.
Held over the weekend at the college premises, the event featured an array of local food and beverage (F&B) vendors and thrift vendors.
The event aimed to foster brand recognition within the community and provide experiential learning opportunities for students.
The event’s primary objective was to bring together a diverse community of businesses and provide them with a platform to showcase their products and services.
The participation of local F&B and thrift vendors created a dynamic marketplace atmosphere, offering attendees a range of options to explore.
By hosting the event on their campus, LCB demonstrated its commitment to community engagement and support for local businesses.
The event served as an opportunity for vendors to connect with potential customers and raise awareness about their brands while allowing the college to showcase its students’ organisational and managerial skills in executing a real event.
For the Pearson BTEC students, the event provided a learning experience in event management. By taking charge of the entire event planning and execution process, they gained hands-on exposure to various aspects of organising an event, including logistics, marketing, vendor coordination, and customer service.
