In celebration of the Chinese New Year, Chung Hua Middle School, Kuala Belait hosted a two-night cultural performance and celebration on February 3 and 4.

High Commissioner of India to Brunei Darussalam Alok Amitabh Dimri, the guest of honour, witnessed the song and dance performances, martial arts, and Chinese drumming by the student themed to the Year of the Rabbit. The celebration continued on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Lions Club of Belait members led by their president Keith Wong spend the last day of the celebration with residents of the Old Folks Home in Seria where home-cooked dishes were served for lunch. The members handed the elderly red envelopes or angpao to further enliven the celebration.
