Three children en route to school by foot were almost attacked by stray dogs wandering the vicinity of Jalan Nanas Paun at STKRJ Kampong Katok recently.
“The children were moments away from disaster,” said the female rescuer, who later gave the startled youngsters a lift to school.
“I pulled my vehicle up close to the strays to scare them off,” she explained, adding that the incident had transpired as she was headed home after a school run with her grandchild.
“Other students using the route to go to school need to be extra careful,” she advised.
The stray dogs have also been reported to have damaged crops, properties and prey on cats.
