The Bakti Dewa School organised a charity music concert at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre recently showcasing the students’ talents in dances and performances inspired by the movie Sing.
The concert attracted 1,200 attendees including Bakti Dewa School principal Pengiran Anak Hajah Haffezah Syukrina binti Pengiran Anak Haji Hassanuddin Al-Haj.
The event also served to give back to the community by chanelling 15 per cent of the proceeds from ticket sales to the Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei, an organisation dedicated to supporting individuals with autism.
A group of SMARTER students also took centre stage, sharing their talents with the audience.
Meanwhile, the school’s special education students presented a ‘silent fashion show’ as a testament to their talents in showcasing styles that resonated with those seeking a quieter, more inclusive experience. – Rokiah Mahmud
